Feel the Flow with Tour Tempo!
Feel the Flow with Tour Tempo!
What comes to mind when you watch a tour player hit a shot? Smooth, effortless, rhythmic? How often do you say wow that was quick and jerky? Putting the club in ideal positions is helpful, but without the right tempo, it's hard to hit it pure.
In this video, I'll show you how you can use an app called TourTempo to get your swing in rhythm.
Your goal is to create a consistent process for each shot that you hit. Part of that is swinging with the correct rhythm or tempo. I like to use an app called Tour Tempo to help me keep my swing in sync.

The app creates a series of tones for your long game and short game.
When working on your full swing, the rhythm of the tones is 3:1, meaning the backswing takes three times as long as the downswing. It has four speeds from fast to slow that allow you to find the pace that works for your swing.
For your short game, the rhythm of the tones is 2:1. The backswing takes twice as long as the downswing. It also has four speeds from fast to slow.
It has a series of 3 indicators with the option to use voice or tones to teach you when to start the backswing, reach the top of the backswing, and the last is when you make impact with the ball.
I hope you're enjoying the series so far and that it's helping you improve your game. By now, you should be setting up to the ball consistently and accurately, learning from each shot that you hit, have a better understanding of your ball flight, and now with Tour Tempo, you should be on your way to playing some great golf.
